 More Big Glass Prices
Glass International of Medford Lakes New Jersey achieved some big prices at its absentee auction that closed on November 1, 2002 according to a press release.
A Thomas Cains lamp 1815-20, Phoenix glass works, South Boston, Massachusetts, clear and deep blue sold for $18,000 (includes buyers premium) to a New York City glass collector.
An 18th-century New Jersey aquamarine broken swirl pattern barrel mug brought $17,600 from folk art collector Anthony Picadio of Pittsburgh PA who

also bought several other lots of South Jersey glass.John Decaro of Glass International said, "It is very gratifying to see folk art collector's buying choice pieces of early American blown glass."
A South Jersey 32 rib handled jug brought $9240 and a green Zanesville club bottle brought $5500.
